Information for Potential Authors
The managing editors of "INTERVENTION. European Journal of Economics and Economic Policies" welcome the submission of articles and book reviews. INTERVENTION comprises several aspects which are reflected in the two parts of the journal. One part includes basic contributions which are subjected to a referee procedure. We accept articles in German and also in English so that our discussions can be integrated on an international basis. Papers are published if they contain original unpublished work and if they are judged positively in a double-blind peer review by two anonymous referees.
The second, more policy-oriented part, which is called "Forum", observes and comments on current economic developments as an aid to understanding and interpreting economic phenomena and processes. Contributions for the "Forum" section are solicited by the managing editors, frequently at short notice just in time for publication, and will not be subjected to a peer review. The managing editors decide on the publication of book reviews.

Articles
Papers for the article section can be submitted in English or German.
If they fulfil certain formal criteria (see below) and match the journal's profile, they are refereed anonymously by two referees nominated by the editors. On the basis of the referee reports the managing editors decide about the acceptance of submitted papers and may request revisions. This procedure aims at guaranteeing a competent evaluation which covers a wide range of theoretical approaches and is oriented at objective and scientific criteria. The referees are asked to accept different positions as far as they are substantiated sufficiently and to mind in particular that at least abstract, concern and conclusions of articles are comprehensible for both expert and more general readers.
Potential authors find further guidelines concerning formal criteria here. Please mind these guidelines when submitting a paper. Please understand that we cannot accept papers for the referee procedure which disregard the formal criteria mentioned in our guidelines.
Forum
Contributions for the forum section are solicited by the managing editors. Authors for the forum section find some guidelines here.
Book Reviews
Book reviews may also be submitted in German and English and should refer to monographs and volumes not older than 18 months. Potential authors of book reviews find further guidelines here. The managing editors will decide on their acceptability. On request the editors will forward review copies.
